Pit Stop Popcorn is the Southern Tier's original all-popcorn food truck, serving a wide variety of popcorn flavors at local festivals, fairs, corporate events, and private gatherings in the Owego/Apalachin/Vestal, NY area. We serve classic favorites like theater-style popcorn, kettle corn, caramel corn, cheddar popcorn, and other rotating flavors.
Our restored vintage truck features a full interior kitchen that is inspected and licensed by the Broome and Tioga County, NY Health Departments.

With over a dozen rotating flavors available, Pit Stop Popcorn is sure to have a popcorn for everyone. Our every-changing lineup features classic favorites like theater style butter popcorn and sweet/salty kettle corn, along with more specialty flavors like buffalo cheddar and chocolate strawberry. All of our popcorn is hand-crafted in small batches in the truck and guaranteed to be fresh!

our truck
Our truck is a fully-restored 1964 Grumman Kurbside delivery truck powered by a GM250 cubic inch inline-6 engine. The truck was originally built in Tarrytown, New York before spending much of its life in Indiana as a bread delivery truck.
Pit Stop Popcorn owner and founder Steven Sherwood purchased the truck in 2017 and returned it to New York and began the long process of restoring it to its current conditon.
Restoration efforts included body panel replacement and repair, a new paint job, replacement of all glass, seals and door hardware, new wiring, upgraded lighting, and the build out of our interior kitchen.
